Le Marché St. George
As Co- Founder of Le Marché St.George, Janaki was able to merge her loves of food, design and entertaining. Le Marché was born from a desire to create an unexpected experience in an unexpected place. Over the past 10 years Le Marché has become a beloved neighbourhood hub, an incubator of ideas and a launching pad for young entrepreneurs. She has since passed on the torch to allow for more time in her studio.

With their combined passions for design, textiles and natural materials, designer Hajnalka Mandula and Janaki opened an experimental space simply named 7e7. This temporary warehouse space and future home of La fabrique St.George provided an even bigger canvas for the two to explore their diverse passions and obsessions. Hosting seasonal exhibitions, long table dinners and various events supporting arts and culture. 7e7 was the catalyst for big changes in both of their lives.
Perpetual Dinner Parties
Janaki Larsen loves dinner parties. It seems like a natural extension for a potter to also love food, as both are derived from the earth. Working with both chefs and friends, she has been fortunate enough to set tables all over the world and continues to do so. (covid aside!)
Fabrique St.George
La Fabrique St.George is the passion project of Pascal Roy. With her mother Patricia Larsen acting as lead designer, Janaki worked closely with them, from designing the bottle labels, to making the plateware and conceptualizing a wheelchair ramp into a sculptural piece. La Fabrique has quickly become a favourite with natural wine lovers for it’s focus on Georgian style wine making- which is aged in house- in giant handmade ceramic “Qvevri” imported from the Republic of Georgia. FSG continues to articulate their combined passions for process, low intervention, and deep appreciation for the poetry of time and place.
